This photograph was taken in February 2021. I remember the day well. It was around a week or so after a period of heavy snowfall so the ground was still really saturated. It was a windy, stormy bitterly cold morning. There was little around by way of wildlife as is always the case at that time of year. I was the only person out, I think because the weather was so bad. And I can remember thinking the landscape just felt so stark and barren, almost apocalyptic.
